Indian Oil Corporation seeks to Build Fuel Pipeline up to Jewar Airport in UP

Indian Oil Corp is seeking to build a pipeline to supply aviation turbine fuel at the upcoming Jewar airport in Uttar Pradesh.

IndianOil, the nation’s largest refiner and supplier of jet fuel, has submitted an expression of interest to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board in this regard. The board has launched a public consultation and will accept comments from everyone on Indian Oil’s proposal until February 18.

India Oil plans to build 36-km pipeline from its supply centre at Palwal in Haryana to Jewar airport. The fuel will be sourced from Indian Oil’s refinery at Mathura.

The company expects the planned pipeline to meet an estimated ATF demand of 0.7 million tonnes a year by 2029-30, and 1.8 million tonnes a year by 2039-40. Indian Oil currently operates around 15,000 km of hydrocarbon pipelines in the country.
