Rashmi Govil Recommended for Position of Director HR of IOC

Rashmi Govil has been recommended for the position of Director HR of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), by Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel last week. Currently, she holds the position of executive director (HRD & ER) at the organization.

 

Out of 11 candidates who were interviewed by the PESB board, Govil was selected on 28 December 2023. Out of the 11 candidates, five were from Indian Oil and one each from HPCL, MRPL, Coal India, CONCOR, Oil India and the Department of Telecommunications.

 

In her new role, Govil will be a member of Indian Oil's board of directors and will report to the chairman. She will be responsible for coordinating and implementing personnel and labour relations policies, management functions and administrative control as Director HR.

 

Govil is an HR veteran with over three decades of professional experience in HR strategy, L&D, talent management, employee relations, digital adoption, and HR operations. She graduated with honours from Bundelkhand University in Jhansi with an MBA in human resource management.

 

She has been associated with Indian Oil for almost 30 years. According to her LinkedIn profile, she began working with Indian Oil in October 1994 and has since advanced to her current position.
