NTPC begins Commercial Operation of Final 50 MW of Nokhra Solar PV Project

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has begun commercial operation of the fifth and final 50 MW capacity of the 300 MW Nokhra Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, on 03 June 2023.

In this, the commercial operation of the first part capacity of 100 MW was declared on 20 December 2022, the second part capacity of 50 MW on 30 June, 2022, the third part capacity of 50 MW on 16 February, 2023, and the fourth part capacity of 50 MW on 01 April, 2023.

With the completion of the remaining capacity, NGEL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, will have 2,711 MW of installed and commercial capacity, while NTPC's group installed and commercial capacity would be 72,354 MW.
