ACME Solar Unit Signs 300 MW Peak Power Supply Agreement with SECI

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (ACME Solar), through its subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd, has signed a Power Procurement Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI).

The agreement covers 300 MW of assured peak power supply, supported by 1,200 MWh of energy storage, under SECI’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE)-IX tranche. The project carries a tariff of Rs 6 per unit.

The project will help meet India’s growing demand for reliable electricity during evening and night-time peak periods. It will also support grid stability as renewable energy accounts for a larger share of the country’s power mix.

Following the agreement, ACME Solar’s signed PPAs for projects under construction total 4,310 MW. This represents a substantial portion of its total contracted capacity under construction, which stands at 5,380 MW.
