ACME Solar Subsidiary Signs PPA with SECI for 200 MW Solar-Storage Project

ACME Solar Holdings announced a major Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed by its subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja.

PPA has been set at a tariff of Rs 3.42 per unit. This finalization comes after the necessary tariff adoption by the Central Regulator and power procurement approval from the State Regulator.

This 200 MW agreement, along with an earlier PPA for 150 MW signed in October 2024, fully secures the 350 MW capacity for which SECI issued a Letter of Award (LoA) to ACME Solar in July 2024.

Timeline and Requirements: The project aims for commissioning by June 2027, supported by the recent final connectivity grant. Under the contract terms, ACME Solar must maintain an annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25% to 27% during solar operating hours. Importantly, it must also ensure at least 70% availability monthly and 85% annually during the evening peak hours, utilizing the integrated storage system.

This milestone greatly strengthens ACME Solar’s portfolio: Total Contracted Capacity: With this agreement, ACME Solar has signed PPAs totaling 800 MW of contracted capacity, which includes 2,320 MWh of battery energy storage, in the current financial year.
