Kshema Power Wins Rs 108cr Contract for 400kv Transmission Line

Chennai-based Kshema Power has won a Rs 108 crore contract to construct a 400kV transmission line in Ananthapuram district of Andhra Pradesh.

The 42-km single-circuit line, mounted on double-circuit towers, will evacuate power from a 1 GW wind farm, playing a vital role in strengthening the state’s renewable energy infrastructure. The project marks Kshema Power’s re-entry into the extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission segment. The company's responsibilities cover the entire project lifecycle — design approvals, material sourcing, civil works, tower erection, regulatory clearances, testing, and final commissioning.

Kshema plans to deploy specialized teams to ensure efficient execution with a focus on safety and quality. This transmission link is seen as a strategic step forward in supporting large-scale renewable integration into the national grid.
