Lamprell, Algihaz Advance 50km Subsea Pipeline Project in Abu Dhabi

Lamprell is progressing a major offshore EPCI project in Abu Dhabi involving the development of approximately 50 kilometres of subsea pipeline infrastructure, strengthening offshore energy production and processing capabilities in the Emirate.

The project is being executed by Lamprell in collaboration with its sister company Algihaz Marine Contractors (AMC), combining Lamprell’s engineering, procurement and fabrication capabilities with AMC’s offshore transportation and installation expertise.

The project scope covers the engineering, procurement and fabrication of approximately 50 km of subsea pipeline systems, together with associated flowlines, subsea connections and testing activities. With the engineering, procurement and fabrication phase now completed, the project is moving towards the offshore installation phase.

During the offshore execution stage, AMC will undertake the transportation and installation activities using its heavy-lift, pipelay and subsea construction vessel Champion. The offshore works will include the installation of the subsea pipeline systems, associated flowlines and subsea connections, followed by the required testing and commissioning activities.

The project will support the modernization of offshore infrastructure and help connect offshore production areas with onshore processing facilities, contributing to the continued development of Abu Dhabi’s offshore energy infrastructure.

The collaboration between Lamprell and AMC demonstrates an integrated delivery model that brings together complementary EPCI, fabrication, marine transportation, pipelay and subsea installation capabilities for complex offshore energy projects.

As the project enters its offshore execution phase, the project teams are preparing for mobilization and installation activities, with a continued focus on safe execution, disciplined project management, operational efficiency and quality.
