NPS Awarded $38.8mn Drilling and Workover Services Contract in Kuwait

National Petroleum Services Company (NPS), a subsidiary of National Petroleum Services Co. K.S.C.P., has secured a contract valued at approximately KWD 11.94 million (USD 38.8 million) for the provision of cementing and associated services for drilling and workover operations related to unconventional wells in Kuwait.

The contract, awarded by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), covers the execution of specialized cementing services and related well-support activities required during drilling and workover operations for unconventional hydrocarbon developments.

Under the five-year agreement, NPS will provide integrated cementing solutions designed to support well integrity, optimize drilling performance, and enhance operational efficiency across the client’s unconventional exploration and production program.

The scope of work includes the supply of cementing services for drilling and well intervention activities, together with associated technical support, equipment, and operational services necessary for the successful execution of unconventional well projects.

According to the company, the contract carries a total value of KWD 11,935,854.622 and will be executed over a period of five years, contributing to the company’s long-term revenue visibility and strengthening its position as a leading provider of oilfield services in the region.

The award reflects continued investment in Kuwait’s unconventional oil and gas resources and highlights the growing demand for specialized drilling support services required to develop complex reservoirs and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.

With this latest contract, National Petroleum Services Company further reinforces its role in supporting the country’s energy sector through the delivery of advanced well construction and intervention solutions that contribute to the efficient development of upstream oil and gas assets.
