Technip Energies Commissions Its First Captive Jetty in Dahej, Gujarat

Technip Energies India has reached a major milestone by commissioning its first captive jetty at its Modular Manufacturing Yard (MMY) in Dahej, Gujarat.

The facility launched with the dispatch of large-scale process modules to the Netherlands for a global energy major. This infrastructure enables the transport of oversized modules weighing up to 4,000 tonne, bypassing previous road limitations. The jetty significantly optimizes logistics, slashing transit times from 15 days by road to just 48–72 hours. Furthermore, it achieves 60–70 percent fuel savings, drastically reducing carbon emissions and operational costs. Completed in just seven months, the project underscores Technip Energies’ engineering excellence and its commitment to sustainable global modular execution.

By facilitating the export of complex, large-scale international projects, this development reinforces India’s position as a strategic manufacturing hub under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Commenting on the milestone, Davendra Kumar, Managing Director, Technip Energies India & APAC, said: “The commissioning of the jetty at MMY – Dahej and the successful dispatch of our first consignment, marks a defining milestone for Technip Energies India. By enabling faster, more efficient, and sustainable execution at scale, our people have redefined delivery excellence and adherence to world-class safety standards. We see India emerging as a strategic hub for Technip Energies, playing a pivotal role in our global project delivery network. It is a proud step forward in advancing the spirit of ‘Make in India’ on the global stage.”
