GPS Renewables bags Rs 6.35bn Funding to Accelerate Bioenergy Expansion

GPS Renewables (GPSR) has raised Rs 6.35 billion in its Series C funding round, strengthening its position in India’s growing bioenergy sector and supporting the company’s plans for future expansion.

The funding round attracted participation from multiple investors. PixelSky Capital led a Rs 1.25 billion equity investment, with participation from Spectrum Impact Family Office and other investors. In addition, GPS Renewables secured Rs 2 billion in equity funding for its asset-holding platform, Arya, from a leading Korean conglomerate. This follows an earlier investment of Rs 3.10 billion made by Sojitz Corporation for the company’s asset platform business.

The company said the newly raised capital will be used to support the next phase of its growth strategy. A significant portion of the funds will be directed toward expanding its bioenergy infrastructure portfolio and financing ongoing as well as upcoming projects through GPSR Arya.
