KEC International Wins Rs 1,445cr T&D Orders

Infrastructure firm KEC International has announced last week that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,445 crore for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects in India. The contracts include the construction of ± 800 kV HVDC and 400 kV transmission lines, awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).

“We are delighted with these significant order wins, particularly the prestigious order in the HVDC segment. This strengthens our presence in the HVDC market, where we are already executing a terminal station project for a private client,” said Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International.

He added that the orders reflect optimism in the T&D business, supported by rising power demand and the government’s focus on expanding renewable energy initiatives.

With these new orders, KEC International’s year-to-date (YTD) order intake has crossed Rs 22,000 crore, marking over 70 per cent growth compared to the previous year.
