NCC Wins $142mn Contract for Power Substations in Kuwait

The Kuwait branch of Saudi Arabia's National Contracting Company (NCC) has won a contract to build 10 power substations in Kuwait.

 

The 132/11 kilovolt (kV) substations are located in Sabah Al-Ahmad City, according to a source close to the project.

 

The 24-month contract is valued at SR 534mn ($142mn). Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) is the project client.

 

UK-based Foster+Partners designed the masterplan for the Sabah Al-Ahmad City project, which entails the construction of more than 11,000 housing units.
