Suzlon Group has received a new order for the development of 402 MW wind energy project for Juniper Green Energy. The company will install a total of 134 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated 3 MW capacity and a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower at the proposed site at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan.
As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines and execute the project including foundation, erection, and commissioning. After commissioning, the company will also undertake comprehensive operations and maintenance services. Suzlon's turbines feature the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) technology which integrates wind turbines into the utility network to meet the grid requirements.
The project is a repeat order for the company’s S144-140m turbines from the 3 MW product series. The electricity generated from these projects will help serve the people of the state with green energy. Equally, the contract will also help Suzlon expand its footprint in Rajasthan.
Suzlon’s product portfolio, customized for the Indian wind regime, aims to reduce energy cost while increasing affordability and accessibility, and based on its technology and comprehensive EPC capabilities, it aims to expand the reach of renewable energy with a focus on sustainability. Juniper, a leading Indian independent power producer (IPP), has consistently worked towards increasing RE installations in the country.
