Indosol Solar Commences Solar Module Facility in Andhra Pradesh

Indosol Solar, a subsidiary of Shirdi Sai Electricals (SSEL) has commenced production at its cutting-edge solar module manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The production line has been built on the approx. 30 acres of land which was allocated in January 2024.

 

This fully automated module line will make PERC, TOPCON, HJT modules with glass-glass and glass-backsheet combinations. Once the project achieves full scale of operations of its integrated project, Indosol Solar will have a positive economic impact for up to 100,000 people, and will generate direct and indirect employment for over 23,000 people in the state.  The facility is equipped with advanced technology and automation for delivering superior quality solar products.

 

Established as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) by SSEL, the transformer manufacturer, Indosol Solar's move signifies a significant step towards enhancing India's renewable energy infrastructure. With the inauguration of its solar module production unit, it has set a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in the solar energy sector.

 

Indosol Solar secured significant allocations under the PLI scheme, and its success in securing the highest PLI amount under Tranche-2 is a testament to its technical and financial capabilities.
