SJVN Green Signs PUA with JKPCL for 300 MW Power Capacity in Jammu

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has signed a power usage agreement (PUA) with Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation (JKPCL) in Jammu for 300 MW solar power capacity.

This 300 MW power will be delivered to JKPCL from the 1,000 MW Bikaner solar project, which is being built at a cost of Rs. 5,491 crore under the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency's (IREDA) central public sector undertaking (CPSU) scheme.

The project is being developed under the domestic content requirement (DCR) mode and is scheduled for commissioning by July, 2024. Power from this project is for government use either directly or through distribution companies.

SVJN is set to achieve its shared vision of 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040. This shared vision has been formulated in sync with the commitment of the government’s vision to generate 50 percent energy from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.
