Aramco Resumes Full Output at Safaniyah Oilfield

Saudi Aramco has finished repairs at part of its Safaniyah offshore oilfield, allowing full output to resume after a main power cable was cut by a vessel's anchor, two trade sources said.

The field was partially shut down more than two weeks ago due to the incident, which both sources said was minor and now resolved. State oil company Aramco said all its facilities and operations, including Safaniyah, were safe and normal.

Safaniyah is the largest offshore oilfield in the world, with a capacity of more than 1 million barrels per day. It produces heavy crude oil.
