Weir Oil & Gas Signs $5mn Contract with Iraq JV

Weir Oil & Gas Dubai said it has signed a multi-year contract in Iraq worth more than US$5 million with an Iraq JV, for rotating equipment overhaul services.

Weir said the contract further consolidates Weir’s Rig-to-Grid capabilities in the Middle East, adding that the deciding factors in the deal included Weir Oil & Gas’ capabilities in Iraq, positive past and existing contract performance with the client, local content, in-house engineering and a comprehensive international facility near the customer’s sites.

 

In the EMEA region, Weir Oil & Gas provides provide in-country service and support through Centres of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, which allow the company to manufacture and distribute Rotating Equipment parts and wellhead equipment faster due to its proximity to operators in the region.

 

Weir is focused on supporting its customers’ current operations with maintenance process optimization services in brownfield/greenfield oil and gas, power and industrial facilities, streamlining maintenance costs, and reducing total cost of ownership.
