NPC’s NGL Project to Turn Gas Flares off in 6 Joint Oilfields

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said once NGL 3200 project became operational, the gas flares of 6 joint oil fields would be turned off.

Behzad Mohammadi said that the project would also provide 250 million cubic feet per day of petrochemical feedstock.

Construction of the Persian Gulf Yadavaran Gas Refining Project (NGL 3200) has accelerated and by its operation, no gas would be flared in the West Karoon Region, he said.

He said production of feedstock generated so much value added for the industry, adding such projects were of special importance environmentally and would be helpful in the country’s economy.

Mohammadi further said that NGL projects were of great importance for preventing burning of associated gases.
