India: NMC to Produce Bio-CNG, Hydrogen from Garbage

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will produce bio-CNG and also green hydrogen from 1,050 tonne garbage without any capital expenditure, or operation and maintenance cost.

 

A company from Netherlands had proposed to develop bio-CNG plant. NMC will supply 1,000 tonne of wet and dry garbage to the company every day. The company will purchase 25-acre land, establish plant, and operate and maintain it.

 

A company from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, also plans to set up a plant to produce green hydrogen from 50 tonne garbage.
