ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the overseas arm of domestic petroleum explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), announced Sanjeev Tokhi has taken over as the new Director (Exploration) of the company with effect from 4 October 2021.
Tokhi, who has 33 years of work experience, joins OVL board after the superannuation of his predecessor G S Chaturvedi. His areas of experience include Acquisition, Processing and Interpretation (API) to Petroleum Basin Modelling and Petroleum Economics.
"Under his stewardship, acquisition of state-of-the-art broadband seismic in Mumbai High and consequent Analysis of the Data led to a number of discoveries, adding reserves of over a hundred million metric tons," the company said in a statement.
Tokhi has been associated with multiple projects including efficient development of B12 & Daman fields, revival of Ratna and R-Series fields, Pliocene Gas discoveries, and technology interventions in the deep-water Krishna Godavari basin, and Cluster-2 of northern discovery area of KG-DWN- 98/2 Block.
As the Director (Exploration) of ONGC Videsh, his key focus would be adding geo-scientifically prospective acreages across the globe to OVL portfolio.
