The CEO of Petropars Group said despite the unfavorable and unstable winter weather conditions in the Persian Gulf, drilling operations of Phase 11 of South Pars Gas Field continue seriously without any interruptions, and so far, 4,180 meters of drilling has been carried out in the project.
According to Petropars Group, Hamidreza Masoudi stated: “The drilling operation of Phase 11 of South Pars started on December 15 and so far 4,180 meters of drilling operations have been performed on the wells of phase 11.”
He pointed out that in order to achieve early production from the last phase of South Pars, drilling will be done in two stages, adding in the first stage, a descriptive well and three production wells will be drilled and completed, and then after the installation of the production platform, eight more wells will be drilled and completed.
The CEO of Petropars Group stated that fortunately, the installation of conductor pipes and cementation of 32-inch holes in 12 wells, as well as installation of casing and cementation of 24-inch holes in three wells, have been completed.
