Carbon Clean, Veolia Join Hands to Develop Green Projects in India

Carbon Clean has joined forces with Veolia to exclusively develop multiple green projects in India.

The newly-established company Veolia Carbon Clean will first develop two carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) and compressed biogas (CBG) projects, utilising Carbon Clean’s patented CDRMax and MethPure technologies.

The government’s Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) scheme aims to produce 15 million tonne of CBG from 5,000 plants by 2023, along with generating 50 million tonne of bio-manure.

Through increased domestic production of biofuels, the scheme aims to help India to reduce imports, generate employment and reduce pollution.

Veolia Carbon Clean will finance, design, build and operate these projects and find opportunities for other projects in this country.

The Board of Veolia Carbon Clean will consider proposals for setting up new green projects in the country, including those involving CO2 capture that comply with investment criteria.
