Fujiyama Commissions 2,000 MW Solar Panel Manufacturing Facility in MP

Fujiyama Power Systems has commissioned its 2,000 MW solar panel manufacturing facility at Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.

The greenfield plant is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen backward integration across solar panels, inverters, batteries, chargers and power electronics systems. The Ratlam facility has been designed with a planned capacity of 2,000 MW each for solar panels, batteries and inverters. Initially, the plant will operate at around 1,000 MW annually under a single-shift model, with a phased ramp-up plan targeting full capacity utilization by Q4/FY27 through expanded operations. With this commissioning, Fujiyama’s total solar panel manufacturing capacity has increased to 3,568 MW.

The company noted that commissioning timelines for inverter and battery manufacturing lines have been adjusted due to the adoption of advanced lithium-ion battery technologies and supply chain disruptions linked to geopolitical factors. The inverter line is now expected to become operational in Q1/FY27, while battery manufacturing is scheduled for Q2/FY27, with machinery already ordered and partially installed.

This expansion strengthens Fujiyama’s manufacturing base and supports its long-term goal of improving supply chain efficiency, enhancing technological capabilities, and scaling up domestic solar equipment production in line with India’s renewable energy growth ambitions.
