Iraq, Turkey Plan to Rehabilitate Crude Oil Pipeline

Iraq and Turkey plan to rehabilitate a pipeline that used to carry Iraqi crude to a Turkish export terminal on the Mediterranean before it was destroyed during the war with Islamic State, said the Iraqi Oil Ministry.

Iraq stopped shipping oil through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline in 2014 after the region was overrun by the Islamist militants. It was recaptured by U.S.-backed Iraqi forces in 2017.
