Reconstruction, Renovation Project of Doroud Field 80% Complete

The project of reconstruction and renovation of the platforms of Doroud Field operated by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) in Khark region has reached about 80% progress.

According to IOOC, due to the severe wear of offshore structures in Doroud Field, the project of reconstruction and renovation of platforms in this field was assigned to IGC back in 2013, and this contractor started its work with the priority of four platforms. Now, the project has progressed about 80%.

Doroud Oil Field is located on Khark Island, northwest of the Persian Gulf.

This oil field is located in an area with an area of approximately 5 square kilometers to 25 square kilometers, in the Khark Island area and northwest of the Persian Gulf and is one of the largest oil fields in Iran.

For the past 40 years, two stages of development have been carried out in the Doroud oil field, and now the third stage of development of the Doroud field is nearing completion.
